Ashley Forbes, L. Ac, MSOM

Ashley is licensed nationally and by the State of Virginia to practice Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine. She completed her 4-year graduate program at AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in Austin, Texas. This comprehensive medical program focuses on acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, and biomedicine. She believes that it is with a multi-faceted approach of mind, body and spirit that healing begins.

As a new mother herself, Ashley is passionate about supporting women and men on their journey to parenthood. She has extensive experience enhancing fertility, promoting healthy menstrual cycles, and helping through the transitions of menopause. She is enthusiastic about helping individuals and couples augment their ability to conceive by supporting natural cycle pregnancies and those facilitated by assisted reproductive technologies.

Ashley also has extensive experience in treating all types of acute and chronic pain often associated with stress or strain. Trigger point acupuncture, also referred to as dry needling, helps relieve tight muscles, improves range of motion and optimizes recovery time and athletic performance. This style of acupuncture is also referred to as sports acupuncture or orthopedic acupuncture and is especially effective.
